Sea-View 32,000 m² Plot for Sale in Plakias, Agios Vassilios

About this property

This plot for sale is located in Plakias, Rethymnon, looking out over the water. It offers a total surface of about 32,000 m². The sea view is a defining feature — morning coffee and evening sunsets come with a horizon of blue. Weekly street markets, family-run tavernas and small producers keep daily shopping personal and remarkably good value.

Mornings here start slowly — a bakery run, a coffee at the local square — while evenings belong to long dinners outdoors for most of the year. The climate does a lot of the work: with mild winters and long, dry summers, outdoor space is genuinely usable from spring well into autumn. The prefecture reaches from the north-coast resorts to the quiet mountain villages of Amari and the south-coast beaches around Plakias and Agia Galini. Its central position makes the whole of Crete accessible for day trips, while both island airports are about an hour away.

Rethymnon sits between Chania and Heraklion, pairing a well-preserved old town and Venetian fortress with a long sandy beach that starts right at the city centre. From an investment standpoint, properties of this profile have shown consistent demand from both end users and holiday-rental operators. Comparable homes in the area have been absorbed quickly in recent seasons, a sign of the depth of demand at this price point.
