106,000 m² Plot of Land for Sale in Plakias, Agios Vassilios

About this property

A piece of land now available for sale in Plakias, in the wider area of Rethymnon. The plot extends to approximately 106,000 m². The climate does a lot of the work: with mild winters and long, dry summers, outdoor space is genuinely usable from spring well into autumn. Mornings here start slowly — a bakery run, a coffee at the local square — while evenings belong to long dinners outdoors for most of the year.

For families, the area offers schools, playgrounds and a safe, community-minded environment where neighbours still know each other. Its central position makes the whole of Crete accessible for day trips, while both island airports are about an hour away. The prefecture reaches from the north-coast resorts to the quiet mountain villages of Amari and the south-coast beaches around Plakias and Agia Galini. Rethymnon sits between Chania and Heraklion, pairing a well-preserved old town and Venetian fortress with a long sandy beach that starts right at the city centre.

Running costs remain reasonable for the category, and professional management is available locally for owners who spend part of the year abroad. The combination of location and specification positions the property well for capital preservation, with rental income as a realistic option when not in personal use. If this property is not quite the right fit, our portfolio includes comparable options in the surrounding area that we can present at the same viewing trip. Experts Realtors accompanies international buyers through every stage — legal checks, tax numbers, notary appointments and banking — in cooperation with trusted local professionals.
